What’s new in Siren 10.4

  • Added a high performance graph algorithm, which can be use to calculate the shortest path between nodes on the Graph Brower. This search can operate on complete or filtered data subgraphs. When running on data residing inside Elasticsearch clusters, the algorithm leverages the distributed join capabilities of Siren’s Federate plugin, while switching to using SQL statements when traversing data on remote JDBC datasources.

  • Added white-labeling capabilities. Partners creating solutions with Siren now have an easy way to whitelabel the product by changing names, logos and icons. Together with a custom CSS, this allows Siren to better fit it into larger solutions.

  • Added capability to export and import Investigate saved objects with dependencies. Exporting and importing configuration objects is important when managing multiple Siren instances. Objects however are interlinked (E.g. dashboards → visualizations → searches → index pattern definitions). In Siren 10.4 a dependency tree is calculated and one gets the option to export it completely and then easily import it into another instance.

  • Added OpenID support including Keycloak compatibility

  • New beta plugin: Export graph to i2 Analyst Notebook format. Siren generated Graphs can now be opened directly by i2 Analyst Notebook

  • Added localization capabilities.

  • Siren now also works when connected to OpenDistro clusters

  • Works on Elasticsearch 6.8.6 with Federate, older versions of Elasticsearch also supported

  • Added watcher alarm security to allow the creator to restrict which users can see alarms

  • Added new customizable watcher template functionality to allow fine-grained control of custom watchers

  • Added ability to load and filter WFS overlays on Enhanced Tilemap

  • Added option to autofit map bounds to data

  • Improved filtering in Saved Objects management

  • Numbers on graph (count of links) get updated when changing the active relations either automatically or on request with an update button

  • Graph Browser Lenses now receive whole current graph to improve results for the size and graph metrics lens

  • Fix for Graph Browser aggregated relations on 6.5.4

  • Switching to another dashboard or removing all nodes on the Graph Browser now cancels all count requests

  • Improvements to system migration and upgrade process
